A message from your 2026 Zonta Rodeo Queen

I want to take a moment to simply say, thank you.

When I set out on this journey, my intentions were never to win a crown or title, but to raise some money for my schools P&C and to give my students the opportunities some of them don’t have access to. This whole adventure has been one of the most heartwarming, rewarding & at times, tiring experiences of my life. I have been absolutely blown away and humbled by the incredible generosity and support of this amazing town I have the privilege of calling home. Although I have only called Mt Isa home for 3 short years, the way this community has backed me on this quest has been nothing short of incredible.

Thank you to the immense generousity from the businesses of Mt Isa, this would not have been possible without your willingness to give. There are far too many to list individually, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

To my amazing group of girls, my minions, your support throughout this journey has been nothing short of monumental & this crown & sash belong just as much to you all as it does to me. I truly couldn’t have made it through this journey without you & I am indebted to you all.

To the girls who took this journey with me, Kylie, Tylah & Marina - thank you for your support & encouragement over this quest. Your consistent words of encouragement & support is something I will cherish forever.

Finally, to the students of Spinifex State College, my “why” for entering this quest. Everything over the last 6 months has been for you. I hope that this quest & the money raised helps provide you with the opportunities you deserve. I hope that this reminds you all that you are valued, you are supported & this community is cheering you on, even if you don’t realise.

Join us at the Civic Centre on Friday 12th of June, for an elegant evening of connection and community at the Pencils & Pearls Teachers’ Ball. Featuring a sit-down dinner, live DJ, and beautifully styled photo walls to capture the occasion.

While inspired by our educators, this event is open to everyone who would like to attend. We warmly invite you to gather your friends and be part of a memorable evening.

Every ticket purchased and every raffle entered contributes directly to supporting local students and their education.
