Have you seen this before ???
Check out this brilliant pic of a pelican stretching its pouch .
This is a technique they do to keep pouch flexible, as the skin needs retraction and expansion .
They also thermoregulate by doing a technique called Gular fluttering.

Edited - snake has been euthanised ,,
Sadly the stress of this was too much and I made the decision.. I did try as I always will but n the end the reptiles comfort and after care can be just too much in the end .
I’ve spent most of the night and day trying to get as much of this gorilla tape off this Gwardar..being highly venomous I have been very careful .
I have administered subcutaneous fluids as the pool fella is very dehydrated.
Because of the stress on this snake its removal has been a very slow process . He is quite weak and unable to be be sedated. It has been there a while .
Thankful the person who found it reached out for help .
I’ll do the best I can because all lives matter .
