Lost Cat in Mt Colah. Help Us Find Him.

Lost Cat in Mt Colah. Help Us Find Him. Tennessee is a long haired, ginger and white coloured and fluffy tailed cat who is missing from his home in Mt Colah.

UPDATE: Yesterday morning Tennessee was found in Hornsby Heights.

We only moved to Mount Colah from Hornsby Heights a couple of weeks ago. After getting out in the middle of the night and becoming hopelessly lost in this new environment, he was unable to find his way back to his new home, so he tried to get back to his old home.

He was missing for 12 days, last seen in Mt Colah on Saturday night and incredibly, since then, he navigated the big bush valley between the two suburbs, making it to Hornsby Heights and almost making it home until his legs became paralysed by a tick. He was found yesterday morning immobilised, in respiratory distress and hypothermic.

We were very worried this would happen as while he was lost he became overdue for his tick treatment. He is currently very sick and fighting for his life.

While we are so relieved our boy has been found and so amazed and so touched at his incredible feat of almost making it to his old home in his search for us, we remain very worried.

He hasn't made it back to us yet, there is still a long way to go, but we will be waiting ❤️

We wanted to sincerely thank the community, especially those who have reached out, helped us or simply kept an eye out and kept Tennessee in their thoughts. It has been deeply appreciated 🙏

UPDATE: it's been 8 days and our boy is still not home 💔 however he was seen last night around the intersection of Flora Ave and Parklands Rd.

He seems to be hanging around Parklands Rd as the only other confirmed sighting was on Binalong Rd (at the end of Parklands). If you live in this area in particular please keep an eye out, especially on any form of CCTV footage as he seems to be only coming out very late at night and so far has only been seen on recorded footage.

His home is on Northumberland Avenue and we only moved here a couple of weeks ago so he is very lost and disorientated and may venture out on other streets in an effort to find home, so if you could please share this post I would really appreciate it. Thank you ❤️

EDIT: what to do if you see him...
* Please call us straight away so we can get there asap
* Get a photo of him so that we can verify that it was actually him.
* He is a shy type of cat and will likely run away if you approach. We also don't want to drive him further into hiding so please don't pursue him but if you were to lure him to you with food so that you could then pick him up and take him inside, that could work.
* Please call or text any information to 0403783513

Tennessee has been missing from his Mount Colah home (Northumberland Avenue) since 28 November 2024. He is a long haired domestic cat with ginger and white colouring with a fluffy tail.

We only just moved into the area and Tennessee got out in the middle of the night and is now very lost.

We know he is now collarless as his collar was found on Binalong Rd (end of Parklands Rd) on the morning of 30 Nov and he was last sighted being chased by a dog late at night on 29 Nov on the same road.
