Firefighting crews are actively working around Katarapko Island, using boats, barges and aircraft drawing water from the river to manage the fire.

Please keep well clear of the area between River Murray Markers 504–512 if you’re on a houseboat or out on the water for recreation. Giving this stretch plenty of space helps keep everyone safe and allows emergency crews to work without interruption.

Thanks for supporting the firefighters working hard to protect the community.
