Yesterday, on January 26, Uni Greens members gathered to support and amplify calls from First Nations groups across the country calling for truth, treaty, justice, and an end to celebrating a day commemorating colonisation, brutalisation, and genocide.
Students from both the Monash University Greens Society - MUGS and the UniMelb Greens were grateful to join the Victorian Greens contingent, hear from countless incredible speakers, and march alongside countless others standing against genocide across so-called Australia.
But we have to do more than showing up, we have to actually make change. For all of us.

In the front are two cutout images, one with four people in the top left labeled ‘Monash’, and one with three people in the bottom right labeled ‘UniMelb’. The title reads: ‘Uni Greens in Solidarity with First Nations’. Subtitles are ‘We support demands for treaty, truth, and justice.‘ on the right hand side is the image of a large protest contingent.

Alongside this photo of a large Greens continent labelled ‘Greens Contingent!’, are two photos, one of a Palestine and Aboriginal flag, and one of two hearts, one with the Aboriginal flag and one with the Palestinian flag.
