Free beekeeping workshops for veterans and first responders*. We have recently partnered with Phoenix Global Alliance Australia to provide beekeeper training for retired veterans and first responders who are affected by PTSD and who may be unable to work. Beekeeping has a long tradition as a meditative practice and many of our past students find great enjoyment and relaxation from working with their bees. The spaces in the workshop are available for ADF Veterans and First Responders who are not working due to the impacts of their work / service. In this first program we have four funded places and hope to run out an extended program where a hive and ongoing mentoring is also available. Let us know you're interested, and available for this first workshop on the 11th March or tag someone who you think might benefit from an engaging and immersive hobby like beekeeping. To express your interest drop Apryl a line. [email protected]
Likewise, if you’re in a position to fund a hive or a training spot we’d also love to hear from you.
"Bee-Free" by Phoenix is the first part of a longer strategy to provide engagement for ADF and First Responders. *evidence of Service required Angels in Our Town
