A HUGE THANK YOU! 💙🙏✨

What a beautiful International Women’s Day Dinner. Last Thursday, a FULL CAPPED HOUSE of 230 guests joined Cquence Foundation with the Hellenic Club at Alpha Events in Sydney. 🏢🙌

The generosity in the room was truly next level, and we are beyond thankful to announce that together, we raised close to $50,000 for the Cancer Survivorship Centre. 🎗️🕊️

A massive thank you to everyone who made the night so special:
🎤 The incredible speakers for their powerful words.
🎶 The entertainment for setting the perfect tone for the evening.
🍽️ The team behind the delicious food and world-class hospitality.
🥂 And most importantly, the guests whose kindness and community spirit surpassed all expectations.

We are blessed for what was achieved on a simple Thursday night. It is a testament to what happens when a community truly comes together! 🤝✨

Because of your kindness and generosity (and inspired by our beautiful Yot) Cquence Foundation has now donated a total of $330,000 since December 2024 to the Cancer Survivorship Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital.

Today would have been Yot’s birthday, and there’s something quietly meaningful in sharing this milestone now. It feels like the kind of gift she would have loved - one that brings comfort, hope, and support to others when they need it most.🎁

Earlier this week, we had the honour of expressing our heartfelt thanks to Prof Boon Chua, Director of Cancer and Haematology Services, and her remarkable team who walk alongside patients through some of life’s hardest moments.

To everyone who has cared for, supported, and believed in Cquence Foundation: thank you. Your generosity carries further than we ever truly get to see.💙

Sometimes love and honour shine brightest in the headlights on a Sunday sunrise.☀️

Last Sunday, friends and family - led by Niesha and Michael in honour of Michael's late twin, Nathan St. James (12 Oct 1980 – 29 Oct 2007) - cruised from Sydney to Stanwell Tops for a Cars & Coffee run. It was a perfect morning: beautiful cars, beautiful people, a beautiful drive.🏎️

From Cquence Foundation, we want to say thank you to Niesha and Michael for turning their family's grief into goodness. In just a few short weeks, an incredible 70+ donors raised an equally incredible $21,888! 🫶

100% of these funds will go to the Cancer Survivorship Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick. 🏥

Photos from the day can be viewed at:

Bless all involved and may Nathan's memory be eternal. 🙏

With gratitude,

Tomorrow, Nick will lace up his runners and take on the Sydney Marathon - not just as a personal challenge, but as a tribute to his beautiful wife, who heartbreakingly passed away from brain cancer at just 30 years of age.

In her memory, and to support others facing rare and advanced cancers, Nick (right in the picture above with his brother, Dan, and mother-in-law, Jo) has already raised an incredible $2,500. Every step he takes is fuelled by love, grief, resilience - and the unshakable belief that he can.

Nick’s own journey over the last few years is also nothing short of inspiring. Three years ago, when Nick was at his lowest, grieving the heartbreaking loss of his late wife, he took comfort and solace in food, and he had let himself go, weighing at his peak 120kg.

Fast forward to today: Nick has shed an astonishing 33kg. Running 42km in the Sydney Marathon would have been unheard of only a short time ago.

Let’s rally behind him as he runs for those who can’t. To read Nick’s story or to show your support, please head to https://sm25.grassrootz.com/cquence/nick-lukic

Go Nick! You are an inspiration to us all. 💪💜 Ependymoma

The Cquence Foundation team, Board members, and our families sincerely thank you for your kind and generous support at the International Women’s Day Dinner on 6 March 2025 held at Events by Alpha, Castlereagh St, Sydney 2000.

All donations and revenue from this event totalled just under an incredible AUD$48,000. 100% of these funds go directly to the Prince of Wales Hospital to support the Cancer Survivorship Centre led by Professor Boon Chua, the Director of Cancer and Haematology Services.

Through your generosity, the Cquence Foundation is dedicated to assisting rare and advanced patients, their caregivers, and their families. With your support, we continue to fund and subsidise out-of-pocket costs for consultations, genomic testing, and treatment costs for Australia's rare and advanced cancer patients. We will continue to advocate and lobby government bodies to help fund comprehensive out-of-pocket genomic testing and potential life-saving medications to be included in the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

Please enjoy some photos from the dinner right here.

We thank you for supporting our cause and appreciate your kindness and generosity. Our team wishes you well always.

Warm regards,

Cquence Foundation
