Meet Mina, our amazing community member who brings her heart in the shape of cookies (that may or may not cause riots 🤭)

Hi fams! 👋🏽

My name’s Yvonne but some of my closest call me Mina. I’m a wife, mum to two beautiful girls & a German Shepherd. Apart from mum life, I’m a primary school teacher & so passionate about teaching little ones. I love going to the gym (specifically BFT), playing volleyball & travelling with my little family. 🤎

Tbh, I’m not the most creative person but I do love baking. I’m the biggest sweet tooth so I’ve enjoyed making yummy treats, like banana bread, cookies & cakes.

Throughout my personal page , you’ll see snippets of my fav people & things to do. 🥰
I’ve loved joining the homemakers swap & getting to see everyone’s amazing creations. I’m always in awe of what’s been brought. I’m so grateful to be part of such an amazing community of creative people. My little family love coming with me to these swaps & our favs have been the fresh fruit & veggies, eggs, baked goods, homemade gift tags & fruit straps. 😍 Alora (my eldest baby’s) fav is the big watermelon we were able to pick. 🍉

Our little family were able to bake & take choc chip cookies, loaded biscoff cookies & banana bread. 🍌

It’s been awesome seeing what others bring & so keen for the next one! 🙌🏾

See you tomorrow, 10am at Jaycee Park - remember to stand near Mina's cookies if you want one, they'll be gone in a flash ✨️

Homemade Chicken Salt / Stock Powder

In our household we love adding Chicken Bone Broth Powder to everything however it is a luxury item so we decided to make our own!

I'm currently roasting a whole chicken to release the flavours and soften the bones, then I'll add it to the pressure cooker with celery, carrot, onion, bay leaves, splash of vinegar, salt and pepper.

Next step is to blend the whole lot, bones and all into a thick, pasty consistency.

Then, I'll dehydrate it over the next few days and blend it once more with equal amounts of salt, onion powder and garlic powder.

Believe me it makes the most delicious and nutritious chicken salt, bone broth base or flavouring to any and every dish.

I personally can't wait for chicken noodle soup!

Homemade for the win, always 👌🏼

Introducing Karlee from

"Hi all, my name is Karlee. My family and I have called Mildura home for around 14 years now. I run a little business called Milly Kane Photography. I love being outdoors, flora and fauna, and all things whimsical.

Through my business, I photograph local families in the great outdoors. Family sessions are my main focus, but I also offer cake smash sessions, tea parties, maternity sessions and portraits for mums, simply because mums deserve to be in the frame and have their moment too. I have a small collection of gowns to help add something extra special to these sessions.

My goal for the rest of this year is to photograph more of our furry family members, along with some whimsical shoots, so please feel free to bring your pet along when you have a session with me.

May marks 9 years in business for me, which feels like a big milestone and something I’m incredibly grateful for.

At my last swap, I brought along a print from my Madeit shop and bunches of white gum leaves from our garden.

In return, I was lucky enough to come home with some delicious baked goodies, earrings and lovely handmade creations. For the next swap, I’m planning to bring 5 floral prints and some aloe vera plants.

I love discovering small businesses and the wonderfully creative people behind them. We really do have so much talent within this Homemaker swap community.

Anyone who knows me knows crowds aren’t really my thing, so these gatherings, even while still nice and small are such a lovely way to step outside my comfort zone. The extra bonus is bringing home a few treats to share afterwards 😊"

Thanks Karlee!

📢 Keen to join our next swap?

Bring 5 of the same homegrown, handmade or handcrafted goods and trade for 5 different ones.

We want your feedback!

It's been 6 months since our humble little group started, and its always good to think about what we're doing and how we can improve, particularly given we've done a bit of growing in that time.

So if you have any thoughts, suggestions, reflections or feedback, we want to hear from you! From layout, location, socials, all of it. Alyce and I (Jez) are catching up this week to share our own thoughts and observations, but we want yours too, because without our community, we simply don't exist.

Feel free to reach out via our dm's, comment below, or chat to us at our next swap.

Hi there, my name is Mel. I am a wife, mum of 2 kids, and a physio by trade… but after having our first child my husband and I felt the pull to raise our family on more land for a slower and more nature-connected life. We made the move to our current property in Merbein where we started our homestead, and fast forward almost 3 years we have built our little farm business

Here we raise pasture-raised & free-range eggs for our community, grow our own veggies, dabble in some cut flowers, and care for our animals.
I love gardening, growing food and flowers, preserving our abundance, and reading. And since having our second baby in late 2025 I have started sewing alot more, especially for our kids which has been such a creative joy. I’ll basically have a crack at any granny hobby there is!

I love attending the homemakers swap because it feels like the most wholesome collection of people with similar interests and an appreciation for the simpler things in life. I love that I can share my passion for homemade and homegrown with people who love and appreciate the same things. Its the community and connectedness that I think is truly magical about the swap.

We have loved receiving homegrown produce (watermelon, figs), tinctures from .elementalmedicine, and preserves. And what we love giving is vegetable and herb seedlings, our homegrown produce like garlic, and preserves.

Sharing recipes and treats is such a joy, and my little boy never misses a swap as he loves picking out the goodies we take home. What an incredible community!
