Linda, Julie and Joy from Days for Girls Mildura VIC Australia Team joined us this morning to share what this wonderful group has achieved.

Delivering 1000 health packs for young ladies around the world, they are a part of 80 groups in Australia and world wide delivered 4,000,000 packs last month!!!

Meeting once a month, the 50 local members are a silent powerful group doing great for our local and international communities - very similar to our programs.

❤️🇦🇺 🇨🇭 🇧🇷 🇮🇹 🇩🇰 🌏 Rotary Exchange – friendships that last a lifetime!

Lynde and Adrian have opened their home and hearts to many Rotary Exchange students over the years, creating wonderful memories and friendships that continue long after each exchange year has ended.

This weekend, they were delighted to catch up with Aurelia, back in Mildura for a visit after her exchange from Switzerland in 2017/18. They also welcomed Antonia back, their Brazilian exchange student from 2023/24, and met Filippo, who is currently on exchange from Italy and sponsored by their daughter Kayla’s club, the Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary Club.

From Switzerland to Brazil, Italy and Denmark, these enduring connections are a wonderful reminder of what makes Rotary Youth Exchange so special.

Once part of the Rotary Exchange family, always part of the family!

Krista and Anthony from Princes Court joined us at our Rotary meeting to share an update on plans for a new 50-bed residential aged care facility in Mildura.

With $11 million in government funding secured, the community is now being asked to help raise a further $6 million through the Together campaign.

Our club recognises how important this project is for our community and is looking at ways we can get involved and show our support.

We encourage local businesses, organisations and community members to get behind this project too. Every contribution helps bring this much-needed facility closer to reality and supports the future of aged care in Mildura.

🇨🇭❤️🇦🇺 A very special welcome back to Mildura, Aurelia!

Aurelia was our Rotary Exchange Student from Switzerland in 2017/18, and was wonderful to have her back in Mildura for a visit!

One of the special things about Rotary Youth Exchange is that the friendships and connections last a lifetime.

Over nearly 30 years, our club has welcomed 30+ exchange students, and we’re thrilled that so many still keep in regular contact with us, with several returning to Mildura to visit over the years.

Aurelia has been busy catching up with her host families, with plenty of activities planned, including trips to Adelaide and Lake Mungo.

Here she is pictured with two of her host parents, Glen and Lynde. It’s lovely to see the connections and friendships made through Rotary Youth Exchange continuing long after the exchange year has ended. 💙

Our club embraced Hat Day yesterdays to raise awareness of mental health, with members sporting an amazing variety of headwear! From German lederhosen hats and cowgirl hats to hard hats, helmets, peak caps, plaited hats and fascinators. Even Super Mario joined in the fun! 🍄😄

And for Kylie, who didn’t have a silly hat, a silly belt was the perfect solution! 10/10 for improvisation! 👏😂
