Integra Service Dogs Australia LifeUnleashed by Integra Service Dogs Australia is a registered charity.

Our Mission is to transform the lives of Veterans and First Responders living with PTSD, caused by trauma during service, through the healing power of Service Dogs. LifeUnleashed by Integra Service Dogs Australia was founded in 2016 to deliver the vision established by Ken Lloyd and Ben Johnson, which is to provide excellent service dogs to veterans and First Responders with PTSD who have served

our country. Ken has performed exceptional service to our nation, at the highest level, for many decades in multiple theatres of operation; he holds an OAM in recognition of his life-long service in the ADF. He aspires to provide a high quality, low cost service dog to veterans suffering from PTSD to help them manage their symptoms and hyper-vigilence. LifeUnleashed provides Labrador dogs to eligible veterans and First Responders suffering from PTSD. It can only continue this important work with your funding and support as LifeUnleashed is a not-for profit organisation. These highly skilled Labrador dogs can help veterans and First Responders to reduce periods of hospitalisation, reduce medication levels, help individuals rebuild trust and relationships, and reconnect with family, friends and the community. Our vision is that the terrific dogs provided by LifeUnleashed will assist those who have given so much to the service of their country to re-connect with their families, save lives by preventing suicide (in combination with other recognised therapies) and provide a longer term pathway for training, skill development and employment. LifeUnleashed has developed an evaluation framework for our program to ensure that there is a credible and independent evidence base of the medium and longer term outcomes of the program for participants. LifeUnleashed has placed over 157 Service dogs with veterans in 4 states/territories.

100% of all donations to LifeUnleashed by Integra Service Dogs Australia from the public go directly to supporting veterans and our dogs.

It’s National Volunteer Week and this year’s theme is “Your Year to Volunteer.”

At LifeUnleashed by Integra Service Dogs Australia, one meaningful way to give back is through our Foster Care Program. While our Service Dogs wait in Canberra to be paired with their Veteran or First Responder, they need a safe, loving home. Providing short-term care for a house-trained 12–24 month old dog directly supports those living with PTSD and their families. 🐾

A heartfelt thank you to Save our services Australia for their incredibly generous donation of two pallets of Black Hawk Pet Care — Chicken & Rice and Fish & Potato (64 x 20kg bags!). 🐾

This premium food will go directly to our Victorian First Responders, many of whom receive no external financial support for their Assistance Dogs, providing real peace of mind and practical relief.

We’re so grateful for SOSA’s commitment to supporting mental health and standing beside our Veterans and First Responders — we look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership.

Meet Jill, whose journey with service dog Glitz is a powerful reflection of trust, resilience and renewed confidence. With Glitz by her side, Jill is navigating daily life with greater independence — supported by Glitz’s calm presence and intuitive partnership, including a quiet moment at a funeral where Glitz gently placed her paw on Jill’s leg in reassurance.

Their bond is a beautiful reminder of the life-changing impact a highly trained service dog can have.

We’re delighted to share and celebrate another milestone in our ongoing partnership with Guide Dogs Victoria. For many years we’ve worked alongside Guide Dogs Victoria, purchasing and retraining career-change dogs to give them a new purpose supporting Veterans and First Responders through LifeUnleashed.

Earlier this year, the beautiful Venus completed her advanced PTSD training with our team after being released by Guide Dogs Victoria in 2026. We’re thrilled to announce that Venus has now been matched and has officially graduated as an accredited Assistance Dog with her Handler in NSW — an achievement made possible by the dedication of so many.

Congratulations to all the puppy raisers, trainers and supporters who helped raise, train and develop Venus. It truly takes a village, and partnerships like these allow LifeUnleashed to continue transforming lives by placing highly trained, life-changing Assistance Dogs with Veterans and First Responders across Australia.

A big congratulations to Zephyr on graduating from training in March! 🎓🐶💛

Zephyr is an absolute gentleman on lead — confident, focused and perfectly in sync with his handler. He matches your pace beautifully and ignores the world around him, staying calm and attentive no matter the distractions.

Highly intelligent and eager to learn, Zephyr picked up his training quickly and truly excelled every step of the way. He especially loved mastering his contact work and showing off his retrieval skills — whether it was his lead, the remote or even the keys! 🔑

Affectionate and clever, Zephyr brings both heart and skill to his partnership. We are so proud of everything he has achieved and can’t wait to see the impact he will make. 💛

Thank you to our amazing puppy raisers and trainers who supported Zephyr on his journey to graduation — your dedication helps shape these life-changing companions.

We’re proud to be part of a special community event at The Dock - Kingston Foreshore on Sunday 3 May, raising awareness and vital funds for Life Unleashed by Integra Service Dogs Australia and ACT Rescue and Foster. 🤍🐾

At Life Unleashed, we support veterans and first responders living with PTSD by partnering them with highly trained service dogs — restoring confidence, independence and connection to everyday life. Funds raised through events like this help us train and place these life-changing dogs, provide ongoing handler support, and ensure each partnership thrives long term.

We’d love to see our Canberra community there — every dollar raised helps change a life. 🐕✨

A huge congratulations to superstar Darla on her graduation in February! 🎓🐶💛

Darla was an absolute dream on her flight to Brisbane — snoozing the whole way like a seasoned traveller. ✈️ What a pro!

Cheeky, sassy and incredibly smart, Darla picked up her training quickly — always with her own special flair. Affectionately known as “Darl,” she truly lives up to the name. She’s a darling, affectionate girl who melts into every visit and cuddle. 💛

In her downtime, you’ll find her proudly carrying a toy around the house, presenting it to everyone like a treasured gift — and she’s always ready for a game of fetch! 🎾

We are so proud of you, Darl. Your bright personality and beautiful heart are already making such an impact.

Thank you to our incredible puppy raisers and trainers who helped guide Darla on her journey to graduation. Your dedication makes moments like this possible. 💛
