The Urban Bushland Council has always been an important umbrella group for environmental groups such as ours.

They represent us to Government and have been the leaders in getting Bush Forever Sites listed.

UBC supports groups such as ours and, as such, their newsletter will be of interest to our members and supporters. Enjoy.

The first of 40,000 plus plants to revegetate Point Waylen are going in.

SERAG have been working with DBCA for the last two Tuesdays planting sedges near the rivers edge.

Today we had the benefit of a hand from the State Buildings hospitality crew.

Hopefully, the State Buildings hospitality crew will continue to help us with an annual volunteering day, this year was the third year running.

Robin, Julie and Michael represented SERAG at today’s Bottletop Hill event for Regeneration Day, also handing out plants donated by APACE to help raise awareness for mental health.

Representatives were there from the Melville Tree Canopy Advocates, and the WA Turtle Guy gave a passionate talk about the dire state of our turtle populations.

Thank you Em and her hard working team for a great event

• While watering our winter plantings last weekend, some areas were found to be in dire need of w**d removal.
• So, this Tuesday, as we had a large group of volunteers, we were able to split into 2 groups to deal with two areas requiring attention.
• Unfortunately, we didn't do a w**d bag count but between the two groups, we filled 5 wool bales!
Pat on the back for us!

We were joined by City of Melville Mayor, Katy Mair, who had morning tea with us and was then taken on a tour of the areas that we've been working on, by Margaret and other SERAG volunteers.
