Great turnout today for our run down to Trafalgar and the Holden Museum. 21 cars and 33 members or 90% of our current member base made the trek from far and wide, slightly damp early on in the morning however ended up being a nice day. Good mix of cars as well with Mark Swartz’s Dads 10/73 LH SL/R Torana seeing the daylight. Yes you read that right, it’s the 3rd LH Torana produced and due to the 1st two having gone to the gods can attest to being the earliest SL/R Torana in existence, awesone genuine survivor. Unfortunately it threw a fan belt at 9000 rpm so a quick U turn by me (as I always carry tools) and we were back in business for the normal Spirited catch up
run on the Yarrum to Trafalgar back road we had Jase, Jess, Tim and I toddling along at 95kph? Well that’s what my Speedo read anyway 🤔
Good mix of old and new members cars also. The Museum is well worth the trip with pretty much every model Holden ever produced from a horse and carriage (or David Cockle’s mode of transport as a kid) to the last of the Marques.
Lunch at the Criterion in Trafalgar provided ample food with us taking up most of the bistro.
