🎬🍿 That’s a wrap on Term 3 for our Scouts! 🍿🎬

Tonight we finished off the term with a movie night featuring Toy Story 5! 🤠⭐

Each Scout brought along a plate to share, so we had plenty of yummy treats to enjoy while settling in for the movie. 🍕🍪🍫

A fun and relaxed way to finish off another great term! 💚💛

Now it’s time for a well-earned break before we see what Term 4 brings! 🚀🏕️

🎳 That’s a wrap on Term 3 for our Cubs! 🎳

With Term 3 coming to an end, the Cubs stepped out of the hall on Monday night for a fun-filled night of bowling and laser tag! 🙌

There was definitely a little friendly competition happening throughout the night… especially when it came to Leaders & Parent Helpers vs Cubs in laser tag! 😆

Let’s just say there were plenty of laughs, some serious concentration and maybe a little bit of bragging rights up for grabs! 😂

A huge thank you to our Cubs, Leaders and Parent Helpers for another fantastic term. 💚

We can’t wait to see what Term 4 brings! 🚀🏕️

A huge thank you to the Hume Region Heritage Team for putting on such an amazing display at Humeoree! 💚💛

It was fantastic to see so much Scouting history brought together, from old badges, memorabilia and awards to scarves, photos and other pieces from years gone by. It was a great way for our youth to see and learn a little more about the history and traditions of Scouting. 🏕️⚜️

Thank you for all the time and effort that went into setting it up and sharing it with us! 👏

🏕️ Humeoree 2026! 🏕️

This weekend, our Scouts headed off to the Hume Region Humeoree and what an amazing weekend it was! 🤩

The Scouts had an awesome time meeting other Scouts, making new friends, trying activities they hadn’t done before and, of course, enjoying plenty of camping fun! ⛺️🔥

For some of our Scouts, it was their very first camp — and what a way to start! ❤️ Watching them get involved, give things a go and enjoy the weekend was fantastic.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible, especially our leaders, volunteers and families who supported the Scouts along the way. 🙌

We can’t wait to see what adventure comes next! ⚜️

🎮😂 A New Game at Scouts! 😂🎮

We love learning new games at Scouts — and when you see another Scout Group playing a game that looks like a lot of fun, you know you just have to give it a go! 😆

This week, our Scouts tried the Cone Grab Challenge! 🔺

The Scouts paired up and lay on the floor facing each other, with a cone placed between them. The leader then called out different instructions such as “Head!” “Toes!” “Floor!” — and the Scouts had to quickly follow the command.

But when we called “GRAB!” 🫳🔺 they had to be as quick as possible and try to grab the cone before their opponent!

The Scouts played through several rounds, with the winners moving on until we had our final two battling it out to see who could be crowned the Cone Grab Champion! 🏆😂

There were plenty of laughs, quick reactions, a little friendly competition and lots of “I nearly had it!” moments!

We love trying new games and learning from other Scout Groups — you never know when you’ll discover your next favourite game! 💚💛

🩹🚑 Learning First Aid at Scouts! 🚑🩹

We were very lucky to have one of our amazing parents come down to Scouts on Friday night to share their first aid knowledge with our Scouts! ❤️

The Scouts had the opportunity to learn some really important skills, including how to clean and dress wounds, apply bandages, and what to do when someone is injured.

It wasn’t just a night of watching and listening — the Scouts got to have a go themselves! They took turns practising on each other, applying bandages to legs and ankles and learning the correct way to secure them. 🩹🦵

They also learnt about staying calm, assessing the situation and knowing when it’s time to get help from a leader or contact emergency services. 📞

These are practical skills our Scouts can use not only at Scouts and on camps, but also at home, school or when out with friends and family. Being prepared and knowing what to do in an emergency can make a big difference!

A huge thank you to our parent for giving up their Friday night and helping our Scouts learn these valuable skills. We really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us! 👏❤️

Another great night of learning by doing, building confidence and gaining skills for life! ⭐️

🌱 Seedling Update! 🌱

Wow, look at them go! 😍 Our little seedlings have really started taking off! 🌿🌿

Some are growing faster than others, but we’re seeing lots of healthy little plants popping up. 🌱💚

It’s going to be exciting watching them grow and eventually getting to use them in our cooking activities! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Stay tuned for the next update… hopefully we’ll have some bigger plants soon! 🌿😊

🧪🔬 Science Week with our Cubs! 🔬🧪

Science Week was the perfect excuse for our Cubs to get hands-on, experiment and get a little messy! 😆

🧪 Bicarb Soda & Vinegar
The Cubs mixed bicarbonate soda and vinegar and watched the reaction fizz and bubble! They discovered that when these two substances react, they produce carbon dioxide gas — science you can actually see happening right in front of you! 🤩

🏗️ Marshmallow & Spaghetti Challenge
Then it was time to become engineers! Using just marshmallows and spaghetti, our Cubs worked together to build towers as tall and strong as possible. They tested different designs, solved problems and learned that sometimes your first idea doesn’t work… and that’s okay — try again! 💡

It was a night full of curiosity, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and plenty of laughs! 🐾

Our Cubs proved that learning science can be a whole lot of fun! 🚀
