✨It’s been a couple of weeks since we wrapped up the 2026 Battle Season at the Corner Hotel, and we’ve finally had a little time to take in the year that was.
More than anything, Anna and I feel incredibly proud. 😊
Every year, these parent bands somehow find another gear. The musicianship gets stronger, the performances get bigger and the bar just keeps being raised. Watching parents step onto these stages, often well outside their comfort zones, and absolutely bring it, never gets old.
But as proud as we are of what happens on stage, it’s everything that happens around it that continues to blow us away.
The friendships. The connections. The community support. And all the little stories we hear afterwards about music finding its way back into people’s lives and the impact that has on their families, their children and their communities.
That’s the bit that stays with us.
PBOB has always been about so much more than the Battles…it’s about what happens when people come together around music and the flow-on benefits it creates.
So to every muso, band rep, school, partner, judge, volunteer, crew member, supporter and person who walked through the doors of a Battle this year: thank you. 🥰
Thank you for bringing your energy, generosity and glorious enthusiasm to this slightly mad and wonderfully fun thing we started.
You keep reminding us why we believe so deeply that music really matters.🤘🏼
