The Blessed Month of Ramadan and the Brutal Policies of Punjabi Colonialism
Yesterday, the Pakistani military killed four innocent Pashtuns in Tirah and injured six others. It then attacked protesters in Orakzai who were demonstrating against this injustice, wounding four more Pashtuns who were peacefully demanding security and justice.
During the night, in the Behsood district, the Pakistani military killed 17 innocent Afghan Pashtuns, including women and children. This act constitutes not only a blatant violation of international law and an act of terrorism, but also reflects the continued pattern of terrorist violence by the Pakistani colonial state targeting women and children.
In recent days, clashes between the military and armed groups in Drazinda, Shawal, North Waziristan, Mubarak Shahi village (Mir Ali), Spinwam, Abakhel village, Dosali, Takhti Khel (Lakki Marwat), Azam Warsak (South Waziristan), Bajaur, Miryan Bannu, and other Pashtun regions have resulted in the injury and killing of innocent Pashtuns.
The genocide of the Pashtun Afghan nation by Punjabi colonialism represents the continuation of the same colonial system inherited from the British Empire. The Pashtun people will rise against it just as they rose against British colonial rule.
Defending the homeland from every form of Punjabi colonialism and from those who justify its domination is a sacred duty of every member of the nation.
The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) will, under all circumstances even in these difficult conditions continue to take action against these injustices and will stand firmly alongside its oppressed people.
