Zbor Melbourne is a community group dedicated to supporting Serbian students, educators, and citizens in their fight for a fair and just Serbia. l active participants have the right to be heard and to vote on matters raised within the group. Zbor Melbourne is not affiliated with any political party. Instead, we recognise the power of community and grassroots democracy in shaping the world around us. Ultimately, what Zbor Melbourne becomes will be defined by you — the active participants. No matter how far we are from Serbia, we are never too far to make a difference. Get involved!

1.11.2025. | Komemorativni skup povodom 16 izgubljenih života, godinu dana nakon tragedije u Novom Sadu. Dijaspora u Melburnu ne zaboravlja žrtve i stoji uz naše studente i građane u Srbiji koji traže pravdu.

1 Nov 2025 | Commemorative gathering in memory of 16 lives lost, one year after the tragedy in Novi Sad. The Melbourne diaspora has not forgotten the victims and stands with our students and citizens in Serbia who are seeking justice.

Prvog novembra će proći godinu dana od tragedije na železničkoj stanici u Novom Sadu. Tog dana okupićemo se u znak sećanja na šesnaest izgubljenih života.

Zajedno sa našom dijasporom širom sveta stajaćemo uz naše studente i narod, koji se i dalje bore za istinu, pravdu i budućnost svih građana Srbije.

The 1st of November will mark a year since the tragedy at Novi Sad train station. On that day, we will gather in memory of the sixteen lives lost.

Together with the Serbian diaspora around the world, we will stand with our students and our people who continue to fight for truth, justice, and a better future for all citizens of Serbia.

Zbor Melbourne is about building a community here to share ideas and talk about what really matters. It’s a space to stay close to our roots while connecting with the Serbia of today.

At the same time, we stand with our people back home. From Melbourne, we can raise awareness in our wider communities, support fundraising efforts, encourage participation among Serbs in Australia, and stay connected with the local zborovi in Serbia.

Zbor Melbourne exists because Serbia still matters to us — both here, and back in our homeland.

In Serbian, zbor means “assembly.”

A gathering where people come together, discuss issues, and collectively decide what to do.

👉 Everyone has a voice.
👉 Everyone has a vote.
👉 Decisions are made together, not handed down.

Over the past year in Serbia, local zborovi have been forming, where citizens from the same neighbourhoods meet to debate, decide, and act on issues that affect their lives.

Now we’re starting one here. Zbor Melbourne is a place to connect with each other, stay engaged with what’s happening in Serbia today, and stand with people back home when it matters.

What Zbor Melbourne becomes is up to all of us.
