Today we marched in solidarity with our community, standing together to pay our respects and honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who came before us.

On this ANZAC Day, we remember not only the legacy of the ANZACs, but also recognise and thank those who continue to serve today both at home and abroad. Their dedication carries forward the spirit of mateship, resilience, and selflessness that defines this day.

It was inspiring to see such strong support from our community, with great numbers in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us and took a moment to reflect, remember, and honour.

Lest we forget.

The Watsonia RSL Pipe Band took to the circle today at the Haileybury Competitions (15 March 2026), performing our Medley set.

The Medley event allows bands to showcase musical creativity and versatility through a carefully arranged selection of tunes, blending different styles and time signatures such as jigs, reels and strathspeys. It’s always a highlight of the contest day and a great opportunity for bands to present their own musical interpretation and sound. 🎶🥁

Well done to everyone who represented the band today!

These our new band Sporrans 🤩

Do you like this Sporran fun fact?

Drummer’s "Side-Car": Because a snare drum sits directly in front of the body, drummers often wear their sporrans shifted to the right hip or even the rear "cheek" to avoid hitting the drum. This practical adjustment is often said to add a "swagger" to their march.
