For the past few weeks, our EMBOLDEN 2026 ensemble has been meeting each week in our Rehearsal Room, slowly starting to make their show.

It’s an incredible group of young artists who bring their own ideas, perspectives and questions into the room. The Rehearsal Room has been buzzing as they begin shaping what they want to say and how they want to say it.

One thing we've learned so far: the floor of the Rehearsal Room seems to be where the best ideas happen. Writing on the floor, sharing on the floor, brainstorming on the floor - at this point, we're not entirely sure why we have chairs 😅

Excited to see what they make together as EMBOLDEN 2026 continues to grow.

Save the date!

We see every day what happens when young people are given space to express themselves creatively, build confidence, take artistic risks and feel genuinely seen and heard.

In an increasingly uncertain world, young people need opportunities to connect, imagine, collaborate and be heard more than ever.

By supporting St Martins, you ensure more young people can take part in our programs, work with professional artists, and experience the possibilities that making theatre opens up.

For young people. For the arts. For everyone.

Recently, we were pleased to welcome local politician and Greens candidate for the upcoming state election, Angelica Di Camillo () to St Martins.

Angelica visited to learn more about our programs, meet our team, and hear firsthand about the impact creative arts are having on children and young people in our community.

It was a great opportunity to share our work, the importance of accessible arts experiences, and the vital role venues like ours play in the community - as places where young people can learn, create, connect, and grow.

We appreciate opportunities like this to keep the arts part of the public conversation, and to continue engaging with local leaders about the needs of young people in our sector.

Thank you for the visit, Angelica!
