This week, Hindu Cultural & Community Network was proud to celebrate International Day of Yoga in two wonderful ways.

We hosted our own community yoga session at Mitcham Community House, bringing people together for wellness, mindfulness and connection.
We were also honoured to participate in the International Day of Yoga celebrations organised by the India in Australia (Consulate General of India, Melbourne).
A wonderful morning dedicated to health, wellness, and harmony for all.

A small gesture of gratitude for those who serve our community day and night.

HCCN was privileged to support SES Whitehorse Unit with welfare packs for their dedicated volunteers. We are grateful to Foot Solutions Australia for making this initiative possible and thank Dr. Bruce Wong for his continued support of community service.

Thank you, Whitehorse SES, for all that you do to keep our community safe. πŸš¨πŸ§‘πŸ™

Thanks so much to the Hindu Cultural & Community Network who were down at Whitehorse SES unit this evening with a donation of welfare assistance to help our crews on the roads stay active.

We look forward to our ongoing relationship. Thanks so much.

At the Whitehorse Culture Fest 2026, the Hindu Cultural & Community Network HCCN had the privilege to share a part of our rich culture with the wider community. Chai, which is such an important part of our daily life, became a way for us to extend warmth and hospitality. Just like we sit together with family and friends over chai at home, it brought people together here as well, creating simple but meaningful moments of connection.

Henna also holds a very special place in Indian culture. It is not just about the design, but about celebration, tradition, and happiness. From weddings to festivals, henna has always been a part of our journey. Seeing people of all ages getting henna done and enjoying it brought genuine smiles and a sense of togetherness.

The cultural performance by BindaasBollywood DanceCompany was truly a highlight. Full of energy, colour and passion, it beautifully reflected the vibrancy of our culture and was loved by everyone present.

We would like to sincerely thank all our volunteers who put in their time and effort to make this happen. Their support behind the scenes made a big difference. We are also very grateful to everyone who came, participated and supported us. It was a wonderful feeling to share our culture with the community in such a meaningful way.

During the January fires, HCCN community members and volunteers came together to collect essential supplies and personally deliver them to Sutton Grange & Myrtle Creek CFA , standing side-by-side with our frontline firefighters when they needed support most.

Today, that same spirit continued with our Harmony Cook-Up at Fire Rescue Victoria FRV Station Nunawading.

A heartfelt thank you to all our community members for your kind contributions and to our families, kids, and elders who joined us. Having three generations attend the Harmony Cook-Up truly showed what community is all about.

To our frontline workers, thank you for opening your doors and welcoming us to cook, connect, and share a meal together. Beyond your daily courage in keeping us safe, you showed genuine kindness, generosity, and inclusion.

We are deeply grateful for everything you all do , in emergencies and in moments that bring people together in harmony.

Hi everyone,

As we know, the bushfires across parts of Victoria have affected many people. We are organising support for the Seymour relief centre by taking non-perishable items this coming weekend and doing what we can to help the impacted community.

If you’d like to help, please send me a message and I’ll share the details.

Any support is truly appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and support.
