Magical Getaway Foundation We provide first ever holidays to children and their families facing very challenging circumstances.

We are the only national charity dedicated to giving FIRST EVER holidays to vulnerable or disadvantaged children, young people and their families to improve their health and wellbeing to reach their full potential in life.

1 in 4 Australian children have never been on a holiday.

Six families spent a week together at Phillip Island. For many of the kids it was their first time at a beach, their first holiday, and their first week without the everyday worries that follow them home.

It's not about the holiday. It's what the holiday brings: confidence, connection and memories that last a lifetime.

What a September it's been 💜

On Saturday 5 September our volunteers and Board members fired up the barbecue at Bunnings and served a staggering 740 sausages, 35 loaves of bread and 30 kg of onions. Thanks to Bunnings customers and our wider community, the day raised $2,681 for families who have never had a holiday.

Every sausage sold, every dollar donated and every helping hand brings a family something even more important than a getaway: hope. And save the date. Our new book, Holidays of Hope, launches on Tuesday 10 November, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, at the Coventry Room, Golden Gate Hotel, South Melbourne. More details soon.
