They’ve been through a lot together. Now they’re ready for forever, together 🧡

You might remember Cinnamon Sugar from our recent fundraising post…

When she and her sister Vanilla Bean came into care, they were suffering from severe cat flu. Sugar’s eyes were so badly affected that, despite weeks of treatment, one ultimately couldn’t be saved.

Today, you’d never know these girls had such a rough start.

They’re happy, healthy and very busy being kittens — racing around, wrestling, chasing toys and getting into mischief before curling up together for a well-earned snooze.

Sugar is the soft, cuddly one who loves a lap and a good purr. Vanilla is her slightly more adventurous sister, always ready to investigate whatever is happening next.

Through everything, they’ve had each other. They’re best friends, playmates and cuddle buddies, and they’re looking for a forever home together.

Special foster or forever home needed 🧡

Blizzard is a shy girl who likes to take life at her own pace, so she needs a quiet home with no kids, no other cats, and someone who’s happy to simply let her coexist alongside them.

She also needs daily medication, but thankfully it’s simply mixed into her food, making it an easy part of her daily routine.

She doesn’t need constant attention or cuddles. She needs patience, space and someone who understands that trust can’t be rushed.

Once she feels safe, her playful side comes out - she LOVES her little mouse toys, batting treats around and watching birds from the window. She’s also litter trained, easy with food and perfectly happy entertaining herself.

As a foster-based rescue, transport volunteers help keep everything moving - from collecting animals and getting them safely to their foster homes, to taking them to essential vet appointments, collecting supplies and helping with other rescue errands.

It’s a flexible role, and you don’t need to commit to every trip. If you’re available for a journey, you can put your hand up. Every trip makes a real difference and helps us keep our rescue operation running.

If you have a car, a valid driver’s licence and a big heart for animals, you might be exactly who we’re looking for. 🧡

Meet Fernando and Chico 🧡

Fernando and Chico are two adorable tuxedo boys looking for a home where they can keep building their confidence and, ideally, keep each other company too.

Fernando is the cheeky troublemaker of the pair. If there’s a toy that’s been packed away, he’ll somehow find it. He loves climbing, wrestling and making sure playtime never ends. Since coming into foster care, he’s become much more confident and now enjoys pats, sitting beside his humans and rewarding them with the sweetest purrs.

Chico is just as playful, with a love for climbing, exploring and turning absolutely anything into a toy. He’s still learning that people are pretty great, but he’s making lovely progress and now happily plays with his foster carer and chooses to hang out nearby. He’s looking for a patient family who’ll let him come out of his shell in his own time.

While they can be adopted separately, these two would make the cutest duo if you’re thinking about welcoming a pair.

Spend a rescue day with us.

Before we even arrive at the pound, a lot happens behind the scenes to make each cat’s journey into foster care as calm and stress-free as possible.

Carriers are prepared with calming Feliway and covered with towels to create a safe, quiet space for the trip home.

Donation supplies are packed for the incredible foster carers opening their homes, and every foster home is stocked with F10 veterinary disinfectant to help keep the environment safe.

Then it’s time to head to the pound, where the cats we’ve prepared for are waiting.

One by one, they leave their pound cages behind and begin the journey to foster care.

And that’s when the real transformation begins.

Watching a frightened cat slowly start to explore, relax and realise they’re finally safe is what rescue is all about.

A chance. A safe place. And a completely different future.
