People often ask me, “What is the Human Forest?”
Others try to tell me what the Forest should be.
But the truth is, the Forest can be so many different things.
It can be a playground, a sanctuary, a ceremony, a mirror, a mystery and a community.
It can be a place of love and devotion—where you feel held, nurtured, witnessed and deeply connected.
It can also be a place to learn and grow.
A place to practise offering touch with presence, listening without assuming and connecting without performing.
A place to meet your edges, recognise your boundaries and confidently find your no.
An edge may feel unfamiliar or challenging, yet still hold some curiosity—a place you might choose to explore. A boundary is where your body says, “Not this,” or “Not now,” and deserves to be honoured.
In the Forest, you can practise expressing:
Yes.
No.
Maybe.
Not that, but I would enjoy this.
Let me feel into it.
I’ve changed my mind.
I am complete.
Every boundary is met with “Thank you.”
Because your yes becomes more meaningful when your no is genuinely welcome.
Touch can feel playful, sensual, tender, grounding, nurturing, devotional, electric, charged—even sexy—while remaining held within clear consent and agreements.
Like an ecstatic dance, the music changes each Forest and guides the room into a different journey. One week may feel playful and uplifting; another may feel wild, mysterious, peaceful or deeply nourishing.
You may feel challenged, vulnerable or surprised. You may feel alive, liberated, fulfilled, connected or beautifully at peace.
There is no single way the Forest should look or feel. There is only what becomes possible when we slow down, listen to our bodies and allow every person’s experience to be their own.
