Today is the last day for purchasing tickets to the Kicking Goals for a Cure - A Touch of Purple fundraising event.

Special guests in attendance: AFL legends, Anthony Stevens & Shaun Smith.

What’s to expect: A jam packed night full of delicious food (three course meal) & beverages, guest speakers, live auction, raffles, Bingo, handball competition, and an opportunity to win two trips and some amazing prizes.

It’s going to be a fun evening, surrounded by great company, whilst raising funds for an important cause.

Why I Do What I Do 💜

People sometimes ask me why I put so much time, energy and heart into fundraising for pancreatic cancer.

The answer is simple.

I do it in Kim’s honour. 💜

Kim’s life, her strength and her journey have left a mark on my heart that I will carry with me forever. Pancreatic cancer doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed — it affects their family, their friends and everyone who loves them.

And that’s why I can’t just stand by and do nothing.

Every event I organise, every raffle ticket sold, every donation received, every purple ribbon, every conversation and every dollar raised is my way of keeping Kim’s memory alive and helping make a difference for others facing this devastating disease.

I fundraise because I want there to be more hope, more awareness, more research and better outcomes for people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

I fundraise because I want Kim’s story to mean something.

And I fundraise because I refuse to let her memory fade.

A Touch of Purple is hosting their third fundraising affair, a footy themed event called Kicking Goals for a Cure, and we would love for you to join us.
Gather your friends and family and enjoy a three course dinner accompanied by beverages, and have fun with the many activities we have on offer.
There’s plenty of opportunity to win some amazing prizes and this year’s main raffle prize is worth $3,500.

A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH has just recently been announced in the US after more than 15 years of dedicated research. Results were announced of a clinical trial, which targeted patients that had been previously treated for metastatic pancreatic cancer. Overall survival almost doubled, increasing from 6.7 months to 13.2 months. This is a significant and major step moving forward.
Pankind is focused and working towards having this drug available to all Australian patients battling pancreatic cancer.
The announcement of such results creates HOPE amongst the community that change is definitely achievable 💟

This is why we do what we do. Events such as Kicking Goals for a Cure is Team Kim’s way of supporting the cause, raising critical funds for ground breaking research, and helping all those affected by this devastating disease.
