Hello everyone, We hope you have all been well!
We are coming up to that special time of year when we come together as a community to celebrate Angam Day.

For the past two years, Angam Day and the Harmony Cup have fallen on the same weekend. Many of our youth, as well as community members who volunteer and help on the day, participate in the Harmony Cup to proudly represent Nauru. For this reason, NCA has agreed over the past two years to hold our Angam Day celebration either the weekend before or the weekend after.

We have created a poll for the community to vote on which date you would prefer for this year’s Angam Day celebration: the weekend before Angam Day or the weekend after.

We are more than happy to hear everyone’s thoughts and welcome respectful discussion in the comments. However, we would like to respectfully emphasise that the reason for choosing a different weekend is to ensure our whole community, especially our youth, has the opportunity to attend and celebrate Angam Day together.

Angam Day is an important occasion for all of us, and we want to make sure no one has to choose between representing Nauru at the Harmony Cup and being part of our community’s Angam Day celebration.

Thank you all for your understanding, support, and continued commitment to our community. ❤️🇳🇷

Big milestone for Naoero’s future!🇳🇷

The Naoero Trust Fund (NTF) has officially reached AUD$479 million as it enters its 10th year of operation!

President David Adeang shared this incredible update during the 40th Quarterly Committee Meeting in Melbourne. Established in 2015, the NTF is built on a unique governance structure to ensure long-term financial stability for future generations.

A huge thank you to the Government of Naoero for the informative session and to partners Australia and New Zealand for their continued support. With 10% of the national budget being invested back into the fund, the future is looking bright!
