Statement of Solidarity with Berlin

Trans Women Society stands in deep sorrow and resolute solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community in Berlin following the terrifying attack at Christopher Street Day.

Pride began as a fight for our basic right to exist, love, and gather without fear. That an event meant to celebrate visibility, safety, and community was met with such violence is a painful reminder of why solidarity across borders remains vital.

We hold in our hearts the victim who was taken from us, those who were injured, and every person, activist, and first responder impacted by this tragedy. To our siblings in Berlin and across Germany: you are not alone. We see your strength, we share your grief, and we remain steadfast alongside you in our commitment to building a world where our communities can gather safely, openly, and without fear.
