Shanghai, what a journey.

From the first days of preparation through to four intense days of competition and the Closing Ceremony, Team Australia has represented Australia with pride on the world stage.

Behind every Skillaroo is a much bigger team. Experts, trainers, employers, families, supporters, partners and everyone who has helped prepare, encourage and back them along the way.

To our Skillaroos, congratulations on everything you’ve achieved and the way you’ve represented your skills, your industries and Australia.

To everyone who has been part of the journey, thank you.
Shanghai might be finished, but there are plenty more stories to come.

A big few days in Shanghai for Team Australia.

Since arriving, our Skillaroos have been settling in, getting familiar with the competition environment and making the final preparations ahead of four days of competition.

Along the way, the team has also had the chance to connect with the wider Australian and WorldSkills community in Shanghai, including a visit to the Australian Consulate and today’s One School One Member program, where our Skillaroos met local students and
shared a little of their journey to the world stage.

From flying out of Australia to finding their feet in Shanghai, these first few days have been all about preparation, connection and getting ready for what comes next.

Tonight, Team Australia will join competitors from around the world for the Opening Ceremony of the 48th WorldSkills Competition.
