Recent public surveys in the Six Counties confirm that a majority of voters from both the Nationalist and non-aligned communities would support a vote for reunification.
Those in favour ought to be working the doors with a petition of voters to demand that British Labor Minister Hillary Benn fulfill his duty under the Good Friday Agreement and set in place the necessary processes to undertake a vote in the Six Counties, in accordance with the commitment contained in the G.F.A.

Border poll conditions have been met and the government should now set a date for a vote, a Sinn Fein MEP has said. Full story linked in the comments.

Yesterday I wrote to the British Secretary of State to strongly challenge his arrogant dismissal of the growing momentum behind constitutional change.

The conversation on Irish unity is well underway and is getting stronger by the day.

The right to a referendum is part of the Good Friday Agreement. We believe referendums will happen by the end of this decade so the planning for constitutional change needs to start.

A truly significant day.
Perhaps for the first time in more than a century, all Irish Republican groupings with popularly elected representation across all 32 Counties are united in their support of actively preparing for Irish reunification.
The work must now begin, but great to have all parties on the one road!

I welcome Dáil Éireann’s unanimous support for prioritising planning for Irish unity and securing a referendum date.
