History
Three former Carlton VFL/AFL premiership players created the idea of the Virtually Forgotten Legends in 1993 and invited 17 other past players and VFL Club officials to form the club which then made it 20 members. Phil Maylin became president for the next 2 years 1993-95 and set the foundations for what was to become a great success story, in 1995 the presidency changed hands and former

Melbourne and Carlton Champion Greg Wells took over the presidency and continued to grow the club with the help of a very pro-active committee and raise substantial amounts of money for different charities his reign went for an incredible 13 years 1995-2008. The next president was Nick Theodosi who had been one of the original 20 members back in 1993 and Nick’s reign from 2008 until 2010 saw the VFL Club continue it’s successful journey . The VFL Club is one of the best success stories to evolve from a group of past players and officials of our great game under the guidance of our three former presidents and committees we have given over $600-000 to different charities and will continue to help those in need. The VFL Club run three (3) main functions dedicated to raising money for these charities:
