Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day!

Did you know this day falls exactly midway between International Women’s Day (March 8) and International Men’s Day (November 19)? First celebrated in 2012 by Canadian activist Katje van Loon, the date perfectly symbolises a space completely outside the traditional gender binary.

To all the non-binary filmmakers, artists, and film lovers in the MQFF community: we see you, we celebrate you, and we love sharing your stories on the big screen.

Word on the street is that we might be shadow banned. (As well) 🕵️‍♂️
We’re not surprised by meta’s actions. Just as many of our q***r films are excluded from cinemas, our q***r-focused content is being pushed out of your feeds, and many q***r organisations’ social media accounts are disappearing overnight.
If you can see this post, please like, comment, or share! Your engagement helps us beat the algorithm.
Shadow banned or not, the best way to stay connected with MQFF is to subscribe to our eNews via the 🔗link in our bio and follow us on our other platforms as well. 🏳️‍🌈✨
