Public Libraries Victoria Public Libraries Victoria is the peak body for Victorian public libraries. Victoria has 51 public library services.

There are 37 services operated by individual councils, 9 regional library corporations which provide services for a number of councils, three shared library services and the Vision Australia Information and Library service which provides services to the print-impaired. Throughout Victoria there are 281 branch libraries, 27 mobile libraries and 27 other service points. Branch and mobile libraries a

re open 10,896 hours per week and receive more than 27 million visits each year. 2.5 million people or 46.2% of the Victorian population belong to a public library.

The Forum is a safe and respectful space where people can share their experiences of child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools and certain non-government schools prior to the year 2000.
The experiences shared will contribute to an important public record and help Victoria build a stronger shared understanding of the lifelong impactsof child sexual abuse in schools so we can better prevent and respond to it now and into the future.
This is a healing journey that starts with your truth.

It's Gambling Harm Awareness week and throughout Victoria, public libraries are offering communities an evening alternative to gambling venues, known as Libraries After Dark. The library stays open late, welcoming you to free activities where you can socialise, explore your creativity, learn something new or simply 'just be' in a warm and inclusive place.

Victoria has 47 public library services. There are 34 services operated by individual councils, 10 regional library corporations which provide services for a number of councils, two shared library services and the Vision Australia Information and Library service which provides services to the print-impaired. Throughout Victoria there are 272 individual branches, 336 mobile library stops and 72 other library outlets. Branch and mobile libraries are open 10,896 hours per week and receive more than 27 million visits each year. 2.5 million people or 46.2% of the Victorian population belong to a public library.
