Mount Martha Life Saving Club

💙💚 We have trained thousands of people in life saving techniques, achieved some excellent results in competition and created a culture of acceptance and fun.

Mount Martha Life Saving Club was founded in 1986 and in the last twenty eight years has enjoyed a steady growth in members to become one of the largest and most successful Life Saving clubs in Victoria. The reason for this success is that we welcome people of all abilities and ages, from all walks of life and encourage them to become active members of our club. All members contribute to the welcoming and `have a go' attitude that exists throughout our organization.

🙌 We are very proud to have been nominated for three awards at tonight’s LSV Awards of Excellence.

🌟 Community Education Achievement Award - Schools Program - Finalist. Congratulations Esme Hofer and Nat Howard.

🌟 Janet Jones OAM Inclusion Award - Starfish SRC program - Finalist. Congratulations to our Starfish SRCs Destiny, Jai, Cooper & Liam. Many thanks to their parents and carers for their time and support. Special thanks to Sarah and Julie - Starfish Nipper Coaches, Sheryl Cornish - Trainer, and John Harvey - Assessor.

🥇 Ross and Andrew Powell Rescue Recognition Award - Extreme Heat Multi- Agency Response - Winner. We are very honored to receive the Ross and Andrew Powell Rescue Recognition Award for our Extreme hot weather stand up patrol on January 6th. A stellar and dedicated effort from a large group of our volunteers - Jeff Malone (Patrol Captain), Steve Hofer, Esme Hofer, Gavin Wylie, Asger Hardt, Brian Harvey, John Harvey, Deb Cron, Ruth Stanley, Tully Smyrk, Emily Gibbs.

Congratulations to all volunteers recognized tonight from MMLSC, we all should be very proud.

We’re so grateful for their community spirit and long-term commitment to helping our youngest lifesavers grow in confidence, teamwork, and beach safety.

National Volunteer Week celebrates the incredible contribution of volunteers across Australia and acknowledges the vital role they play in keeping our communities connected, safe and supported.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate two of our Life Members who were recognised earlier today at the LSV Valuing Volunteers event. The dedication and service from John and Pam continue to inspire our entire club community and local community.

For significant contribution to lifesaving operations through leadership at The Pillars, Mount Martha, supporting rescue and emergency response at one of Victorias highest-risk coastal locations.

Huge shoutout to our incredible partners at the Rotary Club of Mount Martha! 🌟To date we have raised over $2000 from their Container Deposit Scheme, all due to the efforts of Rotary Mount Martha who sort and deposit all the cans and bottles YOU throw into the container, and then donate the proceeds back to our club 🙏 So keep depositing those cans!!
We are so proud to work alongside a team that shares our passion for the Mount Martha community. From their tireless environmental work with the Container Deposit Scheme to their hands on support at our local gatherings, they truly embody “Service Above Self.”
