On 11 July 2025, as the Environment Chairperson of the Lions Club of Melbourne Chinese, we visited M78 Art School to present certificates and prizes to 12 talented young artists. Their outstanding environmental-themed drawings were selected for our 2026 Calendar project!
More than 1,000 calendars will be printed and distributed before the end of 2025 — a proud achievement for the kids, their parents, and the school. 💚
This project is not only a celebration of creativity, but also a powerful way to educate and inspire the next generation to care for our planet. 🌏🎨🌟

This year, we’re planting 4000 local plants to restore the park and support the habitat of our native blue-tongue lizards. Your hands-on help will contribute to protecting the endangered Plains Grassy Woodland.
🌱 This environmental project aligns with one of Lions International’s global focus areas, the environment. Let’s come together to make a real impact!

🌱 Promoting a Greener Future Together! 🌱
As the Environment Chairperson of District 201V1-4, I’m thrilled to share our latest initiative! Today, we proudly handed out 200 beautifully designed 2025 calendars, each featuring amazing artwork by talented young artists who captured the essence of protecting our environment.
This project not only showcases creativity but also spreads awareness about the importance of sustainability.
In addition, we took the opportunity to educate our residents on simple yet effective ways to handle kitchen waste responsibly. Small changes, like composting or reducing food waste, can make a huge impact!
Together, let’s continue working toward a cleaner, greener future. 💚

同時，我們也藉此機會向居民們宣傳如何有效處理廚餘的小貼士。從堆肥到減少食物浪費，小小的改變也能帶來巨大的影響！

On 01st Dec 2024 Christmas Party Lion Johnson Ng promoted “What is the correct way to Recycle?” was a great success! He organized fun games with environmental themes to help guests strengthen their understanding of eco-friendly practices in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
During the event, we distributed 140 flyers with tips on how to recycle and what to recycle. We also handed out 100 copies of the 2025 calendar specially prepared by the Lions Club of Melbourne Chinese, aiming to integrate environmental awareness into everyone’s daily life.
A big thank you to all who participated Lions and guests! It was an excellent opportunity to raise awareness and encourage sustainable practices in our community.
Let’s work together to protect our planet and create a greener future! 💚🌍🍷
