Behind every film is a team who knows how to listen.

We want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the incredible team at — Jake Robb, Jackie Fish, Matt Wood and Ashton Souter — who brought our new film to life.

They spent a day with us in Melbourne's Outer West, alongside and our corporate volunteers, capturing something we've been trying to put into words for years: what happens when a whole community comes together to help a family walk into a home that's finally theirs.

The care, the craft, and the generosity Fiction poured into this project went far beyond what we asked.

Tuesday mornings used to feel a bit empty.

Four walls and an empty floor.

That's what it was when our volunteers arrived.

By the time they left, it was a home. A couch to sit on, a bed to sleep in, a table to share a meal at. The kind of things most of us take for granted, placed with care by people who simply wanted to help.

That's what our volunteers do. They don't just drop things off. They stay, they set up, and they make sure it feels like somewhere a family can see the support our communities has for them.

Big news — Regenerate has been shortlisted by The Purpose Fund in its very first grant round! 🌱

The Purpose Fund is a new giving circle bringing more young Australians into philanthropy, with a beautifully simple belief: everyone has the capacity to make change, and when we all give a little, the impact can be profound.

We create fully furnished, move-in-ready homes for families escaping family violence — so to be recognised by a fund built on trust and generosity means a great deal.

Recipients are chosen by a member vote. You can sign up to take part any time before 15 June — link in our bio.

We've watched people walk into Regenerate unsure of what they had to offer. Within weeks, they're the ones leading sessions, mentoring newcomers, and lighting up every room they enter.

Meet Kaz. 👋

She started exactly where you might be thinking about starting. In our warehouse, folding towels, assembling furniture, and working alongside some really lovely people.

Then a part time role came up and she never left.

Kaz brings 30 years of HR, teaching and counselling to her role as our Partnerships and Volunteer Coordinator, and she uses every bit of it. Welcoming new corporate partners, supporting first time volunteers through their shift, explaining why every single item Regenerate provides is brand new. She shows up with her whole self every time.

When she's not here supporting Regenerate to have the greatest impact, you'll find her cooking Greek feasts for her family, dreaming of a duet with Pink, and planning her next trip to Africa. 🌍
