📢 A Message from Dr Shiran Wijeratne

Fellow Rajans, take a moment to listen to this heartfelt appeal from our brother Shiran Wijeratne, as he takes us back to the days at Lakeview Park and reminds us why our Alma Mater needs us now.

The decades-old PA system at Dharmaraja is failing — the very voice that carried our anthem across the Kandy hills every morning. Our newly appointed 24th Principal, Mr. Namal Chandanakumara, has personally asked the Australian alumni network to step up and restore the school's heartbeat.

Our goal is AUD $7,000 to fully restore the system before July 30th — coinciding with Dharmaraja's historic 138th anniversary. We don't need big amounts — if each give a little, we'll easily hit this target together! 🤝🛡️

Let's make sure the anthem keeps roaring across Lakeview. Watch the video, do your part, and share with your fellow Rajans!

Long before the world knew your name, you stood on the Lakeview grounds at 7:30am — the school anthem on your lips, thousands of Rajan voices rising as one, carried by a PA system that made sure no voice sang alone and no beat was ever lost. In your chest, that unmistakable pride of being a Rajan. 🎶
Today, those same speakers crackle, cut out, and fall silent. Our young Rajans are missing the shared moments that shaped who we are.

Our newly appointed Principal — a proud alumnus himself — has personally called on us to restore it. With Founder's Day on June 30 and our school's 138th anniversary approaching, there has never been a better moment to give back.
