This October, the Diversity and Care Initiative (DICA) proudly delivered a successful training session on Disability and Human Rights, promoting inclusion and equal opportunity for all.

Participants explored how human rights principles empower people with disabilities to live with dignity and independence.

We would also like to thank our guest speakers, Osharni and Daisy from Hub Community Legal, for sharing their professional insights and expertise with us. Your contribution made the session even more impactful.

We would like to extend a big thank you to all the participants who attended the Diabetes Awareness event held on March 22, 2025.

It was great to see both familiar faces and to meet so many new people who came to learn and improve their overall health.

We would also like to thank our special guest, Wenyong (Jaze) Wang, Nurse Practitioner and PhD Candidate, who shared practical and valuable information that will continue to empower our community towards excellent overall health and well-being.

We encourage you to continue being proactive about your health, and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Here at DCI we believe that your health is your wealth and it is our mission to assist all migrants and refugees in connecting to referral and response services in the Logan and surrounding regions.

This year we had the great pleasure of serving our community in providing health education concerning chronic conditions, mental health and provide recreation activities to promote healthy living.
On behalf of all of our staff, we would like to wish you a happy holiday season and a fruitful new year.
