Twilight Nippers is back!

After a successful Twilight Nippers last year, we decided to bring it back for 2026!

Twilight nippers runs from 4pm-5pm for Under 6s to 9s and then from 5:15pm-6:30pm for the older age groups.

The Bra-BQ will be running from 4pm upstairs on the balcony, and the bar will be open from 4:30pm.

Come for Nippers, enjoy some delicious souvlaki (we’ll also have our usual bbq fare), and stay on for a drink to soak up the best view in Maroubra…and best of all, enjoy the sleep-in on Sunday morning!

We stood shoulder to shoulder on the water's edge in silent reflection and paid our respects to the lifesavers and those impacted by the tragic events at Bondi. The Maroubra team patrolling at Garie Surf Life Saving Club were also on the water's edge.

Maroubra SLSC extends an invitation to all lifesavers, lifeguards, members, past members and the community supporting Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club and North Bondi SLSC in observing 3 mins silence before patrol commences. We will stand shoulder to shoulder in a line along the shore facing the sea.

📍 Meet in front of the Club at 8:15am, Saturday 20 December

⏱ At 8:30am, we will observe 3 minutes of silence to honour those lost, those who risked their lives, and those who worked tirelessly to save lives during the Bondi tragedy.

🔴🟡 Lifesavers: please attend in full patrol uniform (shirt, shorts, hat).
Together, we stand shoulder to shoulder as one united surf lifesaving community.

No speeches — just silence, respect, and remembrance.

Hi Everyone

The Marboura SLSC Merchandise stall will be open again this Sunday the 7th December. 8.30am to 10am. We will be on the promenade out the front if the club house.

Come down and grab your favourite tees, towels and swimwear. Our merch also makes a great gift for family members and friends.

Remember all money raised goes back to our club so come down and support if you can👍🏼🔴🔵

Coogee to Maroubra Board Race

Close Wednesday 17th December
MUST BE PROFICIENT AND SLS CLUB MEMBER

Entry options are U15/U17/Open/Masters with a special category for those who are paddling a Rescue board (all ages).

Any proficient SLS Club members are welcome to enter with all entrants receiving an event T-shirt and BBQ at Maroubra.

Rules and course
Competitors must wear SLSA Hi-Visibility vests and use SLSA approved Boards.
Safety meeting and race briefing on the south end of Coogee beach at 830am Sunday 21st.
Water Safety is provided.

Competitors will start in their categories 10 min apart:

9am Rescue Board;
9:10am Masters;
9:20am U15(M/F);
9:30am U17(M/F);
9:40am Opens(M/F)

The Race Starts on the South of Coogee Beach and will proceed around 3 buoys:

South side of Wedding Cake Island.
Off Lurline South Point:
In front of Maroubra Surf Club; finishing on Maroubra Beach.

DISTANCE - 3km or 30 minutes paddle on a racing board or 40 min on a rescue board.
FOOD, DRINK & PRESENTATION
The bar will be open at Maroubra SLSC afterwards.

A truly well deserved recognition for our President Phil Carter, awarded the SLSNSW Presidents Medal at tonight’s Awards of Excellence 👏🏽

// Congratulations to Phil Carter from Maroubra SLSC who is the recipient of the 2025 President's Medal!

Phil is an extremely dedicated volunteer who has contributed significantly to many portfolios of Surf Life Saving. He is a Trainer, Assessor, Facilitator, Duty Officer and Club President, notably having played a vital role in the roll out of new IRB training as part of the National IRB Panel.

We're delighted to see his devotion honoured tonight, well done Phil.
