You may not have noticed, but our little plants are growing! 🌱🌿

A special thank you to Greg, Joan and Garry for all the TLC they’ve been giving them. It’s lovely to see them settling in and starting to thrive. 💚

Hi lovely Community! 💚

We’ve been a little quiet lately as we recover from all the effort, energy and enthusiasm that went into creating our beautiful Pink & Grey Galah mural ... who, by the way, is still waiting for a name! 🦜🎨

You may not have heard of the Doing Co. movement (formerly Town Teams). It’s all about local people coming together to make their communities more vibrant, welcoming, connected and fun.

From the mural to the new verge planting, it has been a true community effort and we have a lot to be proud of! 🌿🦜💚

Check out the Doing Co. post about our project below. 👇

And stay tuned… there’s more Marmion community magic to come!

From ideas, to votes, to painting, to greening ... our Marmion Magic Mural is complete! 🩷🩶💚

This adventure was possible thanks to a Streets Alive, Main Roads Department grant. Research shows that people drive more slowly on interesting streets (who would have thought! 😯).

Thanks also to the City of Joondalup for their support with logistics and graffiti coating, our amazing artist Susan Respinger, Dulux for donating the paint, and our community for coming together to create magic! ✨

Together we've made Marmion a little brighter, a little greener, and a little safer.

✨ So much has happened in the last few days! ✨

Our Magic Mural is almost complete. Just a couple of final touches to come and it is truly more than we ever expected.

After our community voted for the Pink and Grey Galah, it has now come to life through the incredible talent of local artist Susan Respinger. What began as an idea has become something vibrant, joyful and uniquely ours.

Our Streets Alive grant also includes a verge greening component, and we’re excited to now embark on this next stage. Please keep an eye on the mural area along Sheppard Way as we continue transforming the space. 🌿

A huge thank you to the many community members who contributed through design ideas, voting, painting, lending a hand, stopping for a chat or a drive by thumbs up. It all matters!
