💙 What an excellent new location for Homelessness Day!

Right near the Peel Community Kitchen, this familiar space brought us closer to our street-present friends and the community we’re here to support.

Our amazing PeelConnect volunteers got right into it and had a fantastic day alongside so many other local agencies, all coming together with one shared goal: to serve our community and support those experiencing homelessness.

A huge shout-out to Westaus Crisis & Welfare Service and the entire Kindness Cooperative group for working so hard to bring everyone together and make the day such a success. 👏

Together, anything is possible! 💙

PeelConnect is looking for compassionate, down-to-earth volunteers to join our mentoring team.

Our mentors support people as they navigate life’s challenges, access services, and find their way forward. They are caring, non-judgemental, resilient, comfortable using a computer, and most of all, passionate about making a real difference. 💙

Some of our mentors come from a social work background, while others bring valuable lived experience that enables them to connect with people through genuine understanding, empathy and practical support.

PeelConnect is looking for a pop-up camp shower tent for one of our homeless friends. Someone who is recovering after a pretty rough time.
Does anyone have one hiding away they don't need anymore? A push-on shower head on a hose as well would be a super bonus.
Drop off at 4/3 Dower Street on Monday please.
