🌸 Thank You – What an Incredible Result! 🌸

A huge thank you to all our amazing club members and volunteers who helped make this year’s Mother’s Day flower project our most successful to date 💐👏

From organising, collecting, re-bunching, transporting, selling cleaning up and everything in between — it truly was a team effort. Your time, energy and commitment made all the difference.

Because of you, we’re able to give back even more to our community and continue supporting important local projects and youth programs 💙

We couldn’t have done it without you — thank you for being part of something special 🙌

🌸 Why Chrysanthemums for Mother’s Day? 🌸

Chrysanthemums have a special meaning here in Australia — they’re often called “Mums”, which makes them the perfect flower to celebrate Mum on Mother’s Day 💐

Beyond the name, they symbolise:
💛 Love and appreciation
💛 Loyalty and devotion
💛 A long and happy life

That’s why they’ve become a traditional favourite for Mother’s Day — simple, beautiful, and full of meaning.

👉 You’ll find plenty of fresh chrysanthemums at our stalls this weekend — the perfect way to say thank you to Mum 💙

🌸 Support Your Local Rotary This Mother’s Day! 🌸

All funds raised from our Mother’s Day flower stalls go directly back into our community — supporting local projects and helping develop our young people through youth programs.

Our volunteers work incredibly hard to bring you fresh, high-quality flowers at great value, so we’d love your support.

👉 Please drop by, say hello, and pick up a beautiful bunch for Mum or someone special 💐

Thank you for supporting our volunteers and helping us make a difference in our community 💙

Lift the Lid Walk – Thank You! 💙

A big thank you to everyone who supported our Lift the Lid Walk for Mental Health.

We had 46 registered walkers, including 3 young participants, along with several of our generous sponsors joining in on the walk. It was wonderful to see such great community support.

Early indications suggest that, after costs, we should be close to raising $2,000 for Australian Rotary Health’s mental health research — a fantastic effort by everyone involved. A final figure will be confirmed next week.

It was also inspiring to see some participants go the extra mile — quite literally! One group completed six laps as part of their training for the Sydney to Newcastle walk for the Mark Hughes Foundation later this year.

Most importantly, it was a great day with a wonderful atmosphere, and everything ran very smoothly thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and supporters.

Everyone involved deserves a pat on the back for making the day such a success.

Thank you again for helping us Lift the Lid on Mental Health.

Demi Alterator arrived home in January from a life changing year in Brazil.Greenhills-Maitland Rotary was very fortunate to sponsor her year and she recently shared her highlights and lessons. While Demi stayed in a small town she used this to ensure she connected with her host families, learnt Portuguese and took all opportunities to be immersed in the culture. We are so happy that her experience was one of growth and adventure and look forward to seeing where she heads in life. Congratulations Demi!!

Nice little write up from Gillieston Heights Public School. Our club was happy to donate a soundfield system to the school and Rotary Down Under donated an addition three soundfield systems.

We would like to sincerely thank the Rotary Club of Greenhills-Maitland and Rotary Down Under for their generous donation of soundfield systems to our school.

The Rotary Club of Greenhills-Maitland donated one soundfield, and Rotary Down Under donated three soundfields to support our students. These systems are already making a meaningful difference in classrooms by enhancing clarity of instruction and supporting students with hearing needs to fully access their learning.

Yesterday, we were pleased to welcome Adrian, President of the Rotary Club of Greenhills-Maitland and Evan, Board Member of Rotary Down Under and current District Governor of Rotary District 9660, to our school. They met with our school leaders, Principal and Itinerant Support Teacher Hearing to discuss the positive impact the soundfields are having on student learning. It was wonderful to share firsthand how this support is strengthening inclusive practices and improving learning outcomes for our students.

We are very thankful for Rotary’s commitment to community impact and inclusive education. Your generosity is truly appreciated, and the difference you are making in the lives of our students is significant.

Thank you again for your support.
