About last night! The QACP end of year celebration at Vincents Brisbane rooftop saw the sun set on another great year!

New connections made, old ones rekindled and one special Collaborative Practice trailblazer Freda Rose Wigan remembered.

The QACP board was honoured to announce the inaugural recipient of a bursary in Freda's honour - awarded to Ruth Chowdhury to further her work to expand Collaborative Practice into other civil and commercial dispute areas.

We extend to our members, friends and supporters warm wishes for the holiday season and look forward to all that the upcoming year will bring!

We are continuing our Lunchtime Toolbox Series with our session on Creative Settlements with QACP board members Zinta Harris, Lynda McKie, John Thynne and special guest Justin Dickinson (Co-founder of award winning Mortgage Broking business HoLo)!

We are continuing our Lunchtime Toolbox Series with a session on 21 August 2024 with The Happy Family Lawyer and Leigh McBean on all things fees!

We hope this event to be a masterclass for you on pricing your collaborative matters. Once we've tackled your fees, we'll move on to options for your clients to finance their matters.

Clarissa Rayward is the QACP president and Director of Brisbane Family Law Centre. Clarissa will take us through pricing a collaborative matter. Leigh McBean is the COO of JustFund Legal Finance and will present on financing options for your clients.

Now that we're back from the Easter and School break, let's dive into the highlights of our recent panel session at the QACP Thriving Together Conference.

A huge thank you to our panelists for their insightful contributions. In the first panel, we took a deep dive into a case study, exploring lessons learned and outcomes achieved. It was a valuable opportunity to learn from real-world experiences and gain practical insights that shape our practice.

Panel 2 was engaging, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to collaborative practice. Inspired by the format of "You Can't Ask That," our panelists fearlessly addressed tough questions, sparking meaningful discussions and offering fresh perspectives.
