SEVERE HEATWAVE WARNING ☀️

Our Far North Queensland residents will need no reminder that the sun has turned its attention to the top of the state.

While most in our northern communities are accustomed to a scorching day, its important to not become complacent amid severe heatwave conditions impacting towns such as Doomadgee, Hughenden, Kowanyama, Richmond and Weipa.

With maximum temperatures reaching in the high 30s and low 40s, it’s a good idea to monitor and limit time spent outside in the middle of the day and ensure everyone is staying hydrated.
