URGENT - Rally in Red for Marian St Theatre

After 13 years of closure, and repeated promises from Councillors and staff, Ku-ring-gai Council has voted to abandon the approved designs for Marian St Theatre.

We have one last chance to save it before the next Council meeting - or Marian St will be a long-term dream, if it ever reopens its doors.

This extraordinary decision follows over 20 years of reports, and $1.7 million of public investment by Council into Marian St. Instead, they have chosen to abandon the project, while easily finding funds for costly sporting projects such as $26.6 million for two basketball courts within St Ives High School.

The problem is not the money - it's the will. It's critical we show Council how much the community cares so they change their mind at the last second before the designs expire - before we lose Marian St forever.

It’s time for ACTION.

Rally in Red for Marian St Theatre
12 - 2pm, Sunday 2 August
Opposite Ku-ring-gai Council Chambers (Gordon Library steps)

12 of the 13 local government areas have engaged with the DPHI to develop housing plans that deliver greater or equal housing numbers than would be required by the original TOD SEPP. Guess which one hasn't?

All 4 Ku-ring-gai TOD suburbs are now in the April 2024 (i.e. immediate) finalisation timeframe.
