Thank you to everyone who attended the Brain Health & Dementia Community Expo in Longford yesterday, hosted by Dementia Australia.

It was wonderful to see so many community members come together to learn, connect, share stories, and support one another. From insightful presentations and meaningful conversations to brain games and local support services, the day highlighted the importance of building dementia-friendly communities across our region.

A big thank you to the speakers, panellists, exhibitors, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event such a welcoming and informative experience.

Together, we can continue improving awareness, connection, and support for people living with dementia, their families, and carers.

Today is World Family Doctor Day 🌏🩺

This year’s theme, “Compassionate Care in a Digital World,” recognises the important role family doctors play in delivering person-centred care in an ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

Whether through face-to-face consultations, telehealth, digital systems, or community outreach, family doctors continue to support healthier, stronger communities through compassion, connection, and continuity of care.

At The People Project, we’re proud to support doctors working across Tasmania, particularly in rural and regional communities where access to healthcare is so important.

If you’re a doctor looking for support with opportunities, relocation, recruitment, or connecting with communities across Tasmania, our friendly team is here to help.
