Today on Sh*tbox Rally, we wear something that reminds us of the people we've lost to cancer.
For us, that means remembering Elaine and Pamela.
Cancer has touched far too many families, and while we're out here driving old cars across Australia, the reason behind this adventure is something much bigger than the rally itself. Every kilometre travelled, every fundraiser held, and every donation received is helping fund vital cancer research through Cancer Council Australia.
The money raised through Sh*tbox Rally goes directly towards Cancer Council Australia's research grants, helping some of the country's brightest researchers work towards better treatments, improved outcomes, and ultimately a cure for this disease.
What started as a crazy idea involving cheap cars and long roads has become Australia's largest fundraiser for cancer research, raising more than $66.5 million to date.
Today we remember Elaine and Pamela, and we think of all those who are currently fighting, those who have survived, and those who are no longer with us.
This drive is for them. ❤️
