Wild About Lane Cove was a HUGE hit yesterday!

We had perfect weather ☀️☀️, 300+ people , and a very popular sausage sizzle 🌭! And the reptile man brought lizards, snakes and even a crocodile and taught us all about these amazing creatures. 🐍🦎🐊

Thank you to Lane Cove Council and the volunteers from Stringybark Creek Residents Association for making it possible!

Our Wilson's Creek Bushcare Group has been busy... The March session saw 50 new plantings!

The group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 9am-11am for weeding, planting and bush regeneration. If you'd like to join in, email [email protected]

Our Wilson’s Creek Bushcare Group has been busy re-generating the Batten Reserve on the creek line down from the access pathway off Elizabeth Pde, near where it intersects with Epping Rd and backing onto 11-17 Johnston Crescent.

Today’s Clean Up Australia Day event was a big success! Thank you everyone who volunteered their time.

Despite initial gloomy weather, Stringybark Creek Residents Association was joined by 77 people aged 4 to 85, including our fantastic local scouts and girl guides. Good to see our mayor Councillor Merri Southwood, East Ward - Lane Cove Council and west ward councillors Councillor Rochelle Flood Councillor Katie Little - Lane Cove getting involved. We ❤️ the community spirit!!

25 bags of rubbish and 4 bags of recycling were collected, along with a tyre, a bin and even a gazebo! In good news though, we saw a HUGE reduction in plastic bags and takeaway coffee cups from previous years.
