What do we do at chair yoga?

We practice these “unusual” movements because mobility is not just about stretching or strength — it’s about keeping the body adaptable.
At any age, it helps to move the eyes, neck, spine, hands, feet, and limbs in varied ways, shift weight, cross the body, and challenge coordination. These movements support balance, joint health, posture, reaction time, confidence, and the ability to manage everyday tasks with more ease. For seniors, this can help maintain independence and reduce fall risk.
For anybody of any age, it’s a way of reminding the body to stay responsive, capable, and ready for real life.

Our Chair Yoga sessions are part of our Wellness Wednesday initiative with Mulgowie Open Gate and Mulgowie Public Hall
