Our featured tree today is Eucalyptus pilularis more commonly known as Blackbutt. This is a large tree which can grow to 25 metres so a good sized paddock is needed. Trees are a great investment for the future.

This next tree is Abrophyllum or native hydrangea. So many natives I’ve learned of since volunteering at Kyogle Landcare, it’s a fully populated world. I like that it has tiny perfumed greenish- yellow flowers in spring followed by decorative berries. I do like a little bit of perfume in the natural world.

Also now is the time to renew membership for the year to be a Landcare member. For a family for the entire year the cost is just $20. A single person the cost is $15 and concession is $10. You will receive notifications of events that happen throughout the year. Your valued membership helps us keep the costs of our tubestock down so we can sell more and help put more trees in the ground which is a passion for all of us who volunteer at the nursery. My 3 acres is totally full after 34 years.
