Unfortunately, we need to announce the postponement of this weekend’s Australia Family Fun Day due to the condition of the grounds.

While the forecast may show sunshine ahead, the grounds are already extremely wet and the weather remains unpredictable. Any additional rain could cause further damage, and council has advised they are currently unable to mow the area. With the possibility of random storms throughout the week, we can’t guarantee the grounds will be safe or suitable for the event.

As much as we would love to hold off until the last minute, there is behind-the-scenes preparation involved, including ordering food and organising suppliers, which means we need to make this call now.

Please know that no one is more disappointed about this than we are. This decision was not made lightly, but it’s the best option to ensure everyone’s safety and to protect Gordon Morrison Sports Grounds.

We are now planning to hold the event on the May Day long weekend.

SCORING 📝

The games work on an honesty scoring system - some teams have chosen to bring along a 7th member to help. This is completely optional and especially encouraged for our younger teams. If your team is happy to manage the scoring on their own, that's perfectly fine too.
