🚨 OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOUR HELP – PLEASE READ & SHARE 🚨

We are at a point where we desperately need the support of our community.

After ongoing difficulty getting community members to attend meetings and become involved, the Koumala Progress Association is now facing the very real possibility of having to close.

This will be our FINAL meeting with the existing committee, and we urgently need people willing to step forward and fill the required committee positions.

• You do not need previous committee experience.
• You don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing from day one.
• You just need to be willing to get involved and help keep something important within our community going.

Without people attending, volunteering and taking on these roles, the Association simply cannot continue. If the required positions are not filled at this meeting, the future of the Association will need to be decided and steps towards winding up may have to begin.

The Progress Association cannot exist without the community behind it.

Please don’t assume somebody else will put their hand up. We need YOU!

Even if you’re unsure about joining the committee, please come along, ask questions and find out what’s involved.

📅 Sunday 18 October
⏰ 4:00pm
📍 Koumala Park – Corner of Bull St & Brown St

Please share this post, tag someone who may be interested, and most importantly — please show up.

We would hate to see the Koumala Progress Association disappear simply because there weren’t enough people willing to keep it going.

📣 OUR AGM IS TODAY!

A little reminder that our Progress Association AGM is on today, and we’d love to see as many community members come along as possible!

You don’t have to nominate for a position — simply turning up, getting involved and showing your support means so much.

Our Progress Association is all about supporting our town, bringing ideas to life and helping our little community continue to grow and thrive.

Come along, have a chat, share your ideas and show your support. Every person makes a difference!

We hope to see you there!

Join us for our Annual General Meeting!

All executive positions will be declared vacant, and we warmly encourage anyone with an interest in supporting our community to consider getting involved. We’d love to see as many members as possible attend.

Our Progress Association plays a vital role in our community, and its future depends on welcoming new committee members with fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a willingness to help.

Unfortunately, if a new committee cannot be formed at this year’s AGM, the association will consider winding up. This would mean the loss of a valuable community organisation that has worked to support and improve our local area.

Whether you’re able to take on a committee role or simply come along to show your support, your attendance can make a real difference. Together, we can help ensure the Progress Association continues to serve our community for years to come.

We hope to see you there.

Come along, have your say, and help shape the year ahead!

Unfortunately, we need to announce the postponement of this weekend’s Australia Family Fun Day due to the condition of the grounds.

While the forecast may show sunshine ahead, the grounds are already extremely wet and the weather remains unpredictable. Any additional rain could cause further damage, and council has advised they are currently unable to mow the area. With the possibility of random storms throughout the week, we can’t guarantee the grounds will be safe or suitable for the event.

As much as we would love to hold off until the last minute, there is behind-the-scenes preparation involved, including ordering food and organising suppliers, which means we need to make this call now.

Please know that no one is more disappointed about this than we are. This decision was not made lightly, but it’s the best option to ensure everyone’s safety and to protect Gordon Morrison Sports Grounds.

We are now planning to hold the event on the May Day long weekend.

Stay tuned for more information and updates on the new date.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support 🙏🏻
