Thanks for your encouragement Limestone Coast Local Health Network

The Kingston Community Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which provides ongoing financial assistance for local community services, including the Kingston Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

In December, the Foundation purchased their first property - a piece of local heritage – the Old Woolstore building in Kingston SE. The building will be leased out and the rental profits donated back to the beneficiaries, supporting essential local health, education and community services.

❤️ The Old Woolstore is now 𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺, and 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺

We are lucky to have such generous and supportive not-for-profit organisations (and the community members who run them) in the Limestone Coast region.

We had a very successful Open Day today at The Old Woolstore.

Once again, the common sentiment was how much people loved the building and were thrilled that it will not only be forever owned by the Kingston Community but will be reactivated and reopened for everyone to enjoy.

Not only will this provide ongoing financial assistance to our three beneficiaries, in perpetuity, it will also be great for locals, tourists, the Kingston SE economy and also to our local businesses.

Congratulations to the winner of the raffle, Susan Ballinger, the proceeds going to the purchase of The Old Woolstore.

It’s a big weekend supporting our local Kingston Community.

Board members of the Kingston Community Foundation will be present at:

The Kingston SE Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Market Day, Saturday 24 January, 9am - 1 pm, Kingston Town Hall

and

at the Kingston Community Foundation Open Day, Monday 26 January, 9.30 - 12pm, The Old Woolstore, 3 Hanson Street.

We will have an amazing raffle and great conversations to be had.
