2026 EA NATIONAL ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Equestrian Australia National Endurance Championships, hosted by Kilkian Endurance Riders Club, attracted 166 entries from across Australia, and including 9 international entries. The program for the weekend provided Australian Endurance Riders Association and FEI events.
The Championships offered the last FEI 3* qualifying competition for Australian-based riders in contention for the upcoming 2026 Endurance World Championships.
Results
There were eight starters in the 160km 3* Championship event, with a 100% completion rate! The Championship was taken out by Poppy Kettlewell on Oso Surprise with an average speed of 15.20km/h followed by Cath Bailey on stallion Razorback Arctic Fire with Eadie McWilliam in 3rd place on Drusilla te.
The 120km 2* Open event was won by Suzie Berryman on Monster Energy, with Nikki Sample on Stirling’s Hutcho in 2nd and Naomi McGaffin on Heathfield’s Rudolph in 3rd.
The 120km 2* Youth was also won by Poppy Kettlewell, this time on Oso Rychmond, with Ahmad Athif Haidar of Malaysia in 2nd on Limited Edition te and Charlotte Williamson on Splendacrest Clara in 3rd.
The 100km 1* event was won by Hannah Cossor on Dee Zyne Wizz Kid with Nadine Cooper on Almazaan Au Revoir in 2nd and Xanthe Webb on Sienna Craze in 3rd.
The 100km 1* Youth was won by Indra Hofstee on Kelaray Glamorous with Ella Stanton on Boonara The Greatest Showman in 2nd and Taylor Grogan on Oso Sahara in 3rd.
Competing in the 2* Open event, NSW rider Sarah Parker also successfully completed her tenth 2* event attaining her Bronze FEI 2* Elite Athlete status.
For AERA Events, there was only one entry in the 160 km event which was successfully ridden and won by Meridy Kadel, qualifying Meridy to enter the Tom Quilty 2026 coming up early July. Meridy had made the long journey from Jackson to achieve this goal.
