Endurance @ Kilkivan

This was a last-minute addition to the calendar to fill a gap and thank you to the 65 horse-rider combinations and their crews who joined us. Thank you for the positive comments and thanks to the group who worked to provide the first endurance ride of the season.

Thank you to vets and officials for their support and all volunteers.

We had a number of local clubs who supported the event with members from Wondai, Biggenden and Widgee clubs assisting.

The weather was kind to us with rain that cooled things off but still warm enough to walk around comfortably in wet clothes (almost)

Results were good at just over 80% completion over 3 events.

This was a "no frills" ride with little time to prepare but thank you to Stirling's Crossing Endurance Club for sponsorship of trophies for Best Conditioned and for Best Managed in the 40 km rides.

80 km - Best Conditioned awards
Heavyweight to Akhmed Pshunov and Glenewan Secret
Middleweight to Gayle Holmes and Bacchante Catching Fire
Lightweight to Indra Hofstee and Kelaway Glamorous
Junior to Levi Berryman and Forest Dale El Primero

40 km - Best Managed Awards
Megan Ansley riding Joslian Zelsedee (Megan's first ride)
Tracey Eastaughffe riding Soliloquy

Our committee looks forward to seeing you all back at Kilkican for our event on 16/17 May.
